Shouqi Al YousufShouqi Al Yousuf
Senior Business Excellence Consultant, Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, UAE

Shouqi Al Yousuf has been active in the business excellence model implementation and training for the past 19 years. He gained experience in establishing the Total Quality Management department in one of the most reputable Dubai Government departments. In his tenure, Shouqi was instrumental in achieving many local and international recognitions; such as Dubai Government Excellence Program Awards, Dubai Quality Award, Investors in People, Dubai Human Development Award, British Safety Council (5 Star rating and Sword of Honor), Hall of Fame for the Balanced Scorecard implementation, and the list goes on. Shouqi Al Yousuf has put his field experience in training and consulting, and helped many reputable organizations to realize a paradigm shift in performance and outcomes. Shouqi Al Yousuf has personally developed many training programs, of which is a 23-days training program (Diploma in Business Excellence). Shouqi took charge of translating the EFQM training programs to the Arabic language, thus opening the door for many Arabic speaking organizations to adopt the EFQM model.

Senior Quality and Excellence Advisor, Dubai Government Excellence Program (DGEP)

Dr Zeyad El-Kahlout is the Senior Quality and Excellence Advisor of Dubai Government Excellence Program (DGEP). Dr Zeyad holds a PhD in Quality Management from University of the West of England, Bristol, UK. He is an EFQM approved assessor, certified Knowledge Manager, and senior member in the American Society for Quality. Before joining the Executive Council he was an Assistant Professor and Assistant Dean in the Productivity & Quality Institute, Arab Academy for Science & Technology, Alexandria, Egypt. Dr Zeyad has led hundreds of consultancy projects in Quality, Excellence and Assessment of Excellence Models & Criteria.

Dale F WeekDale F. Weeks
President and Chief Executive Officer, Global Leadership and Benchmarking Associates, United States

Dale F. Weeks is President and CEO of Global Leadership and Benchmarking Associates, a performance excellence and global benchmarking consulting service. Dale was Deputy Executive Director/Senior Benchmarking Officer for the FL Department of Revenue (2000-2011), one of the most innovative performance excellence government agencies globally. For 20+ years, Dale also led major private sector change initiatives in Marketing, Information Systems, and Consulting capacities for Control Data Corporation, General Mills, and Xerox, where he was instrumental in producing $50+ million in Sales Revenue. Dale has continually shared his innovative ideas on performance excellence and benchmarking as a speaker at 50+ globally focused conferences, is a member of the Global Benchmarking Network, holds a B.S. degree in Mathematics (St. Lawrence University), and an M.B.A. degree in Finance (University of Minnesota).

Director Corporate Management, Fraunhofer IPK, Germany

Prof. Dr. Holger Kohl is Vice-Director of Fraunhofer Institute for Production Systems and Design Technology IPK and Director of the Division Corporate Management at Fraunhofer IPK, Berlin as well as Professor for Sustainable Corporate Development at the Technical University of Berlin. He studied Business Engineering at the Technical University of Berlin and at the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley. In 1999 Prof. Kohl joined the Division Corporate Management at Fraunhofer IPK as a Senior Researcher. Since then he has initiated and conducted several national and international projects on Strategic Planning, Knowledge Management, Intellectual Capital, Benchmarking and Business Process Reengineering and was responsible for their realisation. Beside projects all over Europe, Prof. Kohl managed large scale projects in Brazil, Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia, UAE, Egypt, China, etc.

Russell-LongmuirRussell Longmuir
CEO, EFQM, Belgium

Russell started out as a banker in London and New York before moving into Management Consultancy where he spent 20 years working as a Partner at PwC/IBM, KPMG and the German strategy consultancy Zeb. In 2015, he became the CEO of BQF (the British Quality Foundation) where he got his first taste of the Excellence world and the EFQM and his first chance to lead and transform a company rather than a division of a multi-national or a client. If there is one main theme running through his career it would be planning and delivering organisational transformation and large-scale change projects. He worked with companies and led businesses across many countries in Asia and Europe and in the US as well as working with organisations in multiple industries and sectors from banking to aviation, retail to mining. In addition, he has also worked with tech several start-ups as a Board Advisor or CEO coach which has helped develop his biggest passion of understanding and helping shape the DNA of organisations and their leadership, culture and strategy.

Dan BatistaDan Batista
Dan Batista, Executive Director of the Institute for Citizen-Centred Service (ICCS), Canada

Dan Batista became the Executive Director of the Institute for Citizen-Centred Service (ICCS), which is located in Toronto, Canada, in 2015. He leads a dynamic team that helps public sector organizations pursue service excellence through research, learning, collaboration and professional development. Previously, Dan worked for the Government of Canada as a Senior Director leading a number of innovative teams that provide services to small businesses and entrepreneurs including the Canada Business Network and BizPaL. Dan has a Master of Public Administration degree from Carleton University and a Master of Electronic Commerce degree from Dalhousie University. Dan received a 2012 Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal, and the Institute for Citizen-Centred Service 2013 Ralph Heintzman Leadership Award, for his commitment and leadership to developing and delivering client-centric services across all levels of government.

Patrick LimPatrick Lim, Director
Patrick Lim, Director (Business & Service Excellence), Enterprise Singapore, Singapore

Patrick is Director of Business & Service Excellence in Enterprise Singapore (ESG), a government agency tasked to help companies build capabilities, access global opportunities and create good jobs for Singaporeans. He oversees the Business Excellence (BE) initiative, a programme that enables companies to adopt management best practices and improve performances. This includes facilitating the growth of targeted high-growth companies through BE intervention, which helps to identify key strengths & areas for improvements, and ultimately a roadmap for growth and competitiveness for these companies. Prior to his current portfolio, Patrick spent nine years driving entrepreneurship development. He was involved in enhancing the entrepreneurial culture in Singapore; formulating policies and programmes to strengthen entrepreneurship ecosystem; and working with partners to accelerate growth of promising start-ups. Patrick is a firm believer in enterprise development, which is the main driver for his tenure in Enterprise Singapore for more than 16 years. He derived satisfaction in witnessing the growth of promising companies, as he sees them as the future growth engines for Singapore.

Suresh LullaSuresh Lulla
Suresh Lulla, Founder & Director, BestPrax Club Pvt. Ltd., India

Suresh Lulla has made a mark through his work in the field of Quality. He is a veteran professional with 50+ years of experience as a management consultant, speaker, trainer, author, and storyteller. His areas of specialization include, Problem Solving, Process Excellence, Performance Excellence, Benchmarking for Best Practices. Mr Lulla was mentored by Dr J M Juran, ‘the father of Quality’, who along with Mahatma Gandhi and Shri Ramkrishna Bajaj form the trinity of his role models. In 1987, he founded Qimpro Consultants, India’s first focused quality management consultancy based on The Juran Trilogy. Since inception, Qimpro has saved Indian corporates over US$ 3 billion in terms of cost of poor quality, using the Juran methodologies. In 2007, Mr Lulla founded BestPrax Club Pvt. Ltd. as the exclusive Indian member of the Global Benchmarking Network. Suresh is Chairman, IMC Quality Awards Committee which adjudges the IMC Ramkrishna Bajaj National Quality Award as well as the IMC Juran Medal; Executive Mentor, Emerging Quality Leaders Program, American Society for Quality; and Director, Membership Retention and Engagement, Global Benchmarking Network.

Dr. H. James Harrington, is an international performance improvement guru. He has authored over 35 books and developed many concepts; Poor Quality Cost, Total Improvement Management and Business Process Improvement. Jim is past President and Chairman of American Society for Quality and the International Academy for Quality, CEO of the Walter L. Hurd Foundation and the Harrington Institute. Jim is also a lifetime Honorary Chairman of the Asian Pacific Quality Organization. He has been given many awards including the Armand V. Feigenbaum Life Achievement Medal in 2012. “Harrington is one of those very rare business leaders who combines outstanding inherent ability, effective management skills, broad technology background, and great effectiveness in producing results,” says Armand V. Feigenbaum, the father of “total quality control.

Gianluca MuléGianluca Mulè
Chief Operating Officer, EFQM, Belgium

Gianluca Mulè is currently holding the position of Chief Operating Officer at EFQM, with responsibilities on portfolio development and implementation and on managing a network of 48 national partner organisations from accross the world.He is engaged in the continuous development of EFQM’s knowledge-based products and services and involved in researching best practices among some of the leading organisations in Europe and beyond regarding the successful implementation of the fundamental concepts of Business Excellence. He has extensive experiences with assessments and validations for the EFQM assessment and recognition scheme at national and international level. He has busienss experiences in oil & gas and transort sectors. Gianluca has an academic degree in chemical engineering and was born in 1972 in Rome, Italy.

Brett TruskoBrett Trusko
President and CEO, International Association of Innovation Professionals, United States

Brett Trusko began his career with Coopers and Lybrand where he earned a CPA certification. He became the CFO of a major hospital in Seattle after which he became a management consultant, becoming global Managing Director in charge of the “Quality Practice” at BearingPoint. After 25 years he left consulting for academia. He continues to consult, and is currently Assistant Professor of Biomedical Informatics at Texas A&M University where he works on Big Data Analytics and Natural Language Processing. He is the President and CEO of the International Association of Innovation Professionals, a global association of innovation professionals with over 2000 members in 84 countries, and Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Innovation Science. He is also the Secretariat to ISO 279 (Innovation Management), for the United States delegation. He has a Doctorate in Business Administration and Technology Management. He has several professional certifications including Certified Innovation Professional and Manager, Certified Project Manager and a certified Six Sigma Master Black Belt as well as practitioner in “Lean” methods. He has authored several books on quality and innovation. His 2015 book, the “Global Innovation Science Handbook”, won a PROSE Award in the category of engineering and technology.

Tony BendallProfessor Tony Bendell
Professor Tony Bendell, MD, Services Limited, UK

Formerly the Rolls-Royce funded Professor of Quality & Reliability Management at Leicester University UK, Tony is Managing Director of the Excellence Training & Consultancy company, Services Limited, working globally from Nottingham UK. He is a highly experienced EFQM Licensed trainer and adviser, and has acted as a subject matter expert for DGEP 4G Excellence Model assessment in the UAE, as well as regularly acting as Chair of the SKEA Excellence Award Jury. A leading educator, trainer and consultant in Lean & Six Sigma, Tony chairs the MS6 Technical Committee of BSI, which has responsibility for statistical methods for process efficiency, effectiveness and improvement. This did the development work for the creation of the international certifiable ISO Lean Management and Six Sigma standard ISO18404, published in December 2015. His most recent book on on `Developing Anti-Fragile Organizations; Governance, Opportunity and Risk in Turbulent Times’ was published by Gower in July 2014. This examines the shortcomings of conventional risk analysis, the impact of `black swans`, and the strategic, cultural, process and people requirements for the development of operations, systems and organisations that get stronger from being stressed.

Charles AubreyDr. Charles Aubrey
Chairman, APQO International Advisory Panel & Managing Partner, Aubrey Partners, United States

Charles Aubrey is an Executive Coach and Consultant at Aubrey Partners. He is a Master Lean Six Sigma Black Belt. He recently retired as Vice President of AndersonBrecon Pharmaceutical and was a staff of both the Juran Institute and Harrington Institute. He was formerly President and is now Chairman, Asia Pacific Quality Organization, International Advisory Panel. He is an Academician and Board Member of the International Academy for Quality. Charles was formerly a Vice President at Sears Roebuck & Co., American Express Corp., J.P. Morgan Chase and Bank America. Charles also worked as Vice President Consulting for ten years, primarily with Dr. Juran at the Juran Institute. He is a former President and Chairman of the American Society for Quality and is a Fellow of ASQ. He was a Senior Examiner for the Baldrige National Quality Program and is a retired Captain from the United States Navy. Chuck is a 2006 recipient of Harrington/Ishikawa Medal for his extensive quality contributions in Asia and was awarded the Founders Medal of International Academy for Quality. He has written two books, Quality Management in Services and Teamwork-Involving Employees in Quality and Productivity. He has published over 150 articles and papers.

Jan-Patrick Cap, Head of Competence Center for Innovation Systems and Structures (CCIS), Fraunhofer Institute for Production Systems and Design Technology (IPK)

Mr. Cap is the head of the Competence Center Competence Center for Innovation Systems and Structures (CCIS) at Fraunhofer IPK, Berlin. He holds degrees in Mechanical Engineering from RWTH Aachen University and Tsinghua University Beijing, as well as Business Administration from Collège des Ingénieurs Paris. His working experience includes the set-up of innovation policies, as well as planning and implementation of innovation parks and institutes throughout Europe, USA, Brazil, UAE and China. Furthermore, he is a board member of the Global Benchmarking Network, an organization of Benchmarking professionals throughout the world. He managed the Implementation of the Sino-German Intelligent Manufacturing Research Institute in Nanjing which received high political support by the German Chancellor Angela Merkel as well as the Chinese Premier of State Council Li Keqiang and is nowadays supporting European Space Start-ups in delivering a viable product and conducting product benchmarking with a Brazilian manufacturing company.

Dawn RingroseDawn Ringrose
Principal, Organizational Excellence Specialists Inc, Canada

Dawn Ringrose has worked with a wide range of organizations to improve organizational performance since 1984. Some of these organizations have earned national excellence awards. Recognized by her peers with the Fellow Certified Management Consultant designation and the Quality & Excellence Builder Award, Dawn is currently the representative for Canada on the Global Benchmarking Network and the Organizational Excellence Technical Committee QMD ASQ. Keenly interested in making the excellence journey more simple, straightforward, cost effective and time efficient, Dawn authored a turnkey toolkit intended to support work with all excellence models. Tools in the toolkit include: publication (Organizational Excellence Framework © 2010), scenario games, holistic and modular workshops, automated assessment and reporting tool and train-the-trainer program.
