Shouqi Al YousufShouqi Al Yousuf
Senior Business Excellence Consultant, Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, UAE

Shouqi Al Yousuf has been active in the business excellence model implementation and training for the past 19 years. He gained experience in establishing the Total Quality Management department in one of the most reputable Dubai Government departments. In his tenure, Shouqi was instrumental in achieving many local and international recognitions; such as Dubai Government Excellence Program Awards, Dubai Quality Award, Investors in People, Dubai Human Development Award, British Safety Council (5 Star rating and Sword of Honor), Hall of Fame for the Balanced Scorecard implementation, and the list goes on. Shouqi Al Yousuf has put his field experience in training and consulting, and helped many reputable organizations to realize a paradigm shift in performance and outcomes. Shouqi Al Yousuf has personally developed many training programs, of which is a 23-days training program (Diploma in Business Excellence). Shouqi took charge of translating the EFQM training programs to the Arabic language, thus opening the door for many Arabic speaking organizations to adopt the EFQM model.

Dr Zeyad El-Kahlout is the Senior Quality and Excellence Advisor of Dubai Government Excellence Program (DGEP). Dr Zeyad holds a PhD in Quality Management from University of the West of England, Bristol, UK. He is an EFQM approved assessor, certified Knowledge Manager, and senior member in the American Society for Quality. Before joining the Executive Council he was an Assistant Professor and Assistant Dean in the Productivity & Quality Institute, Arab Academy for Science & Technology, Alexandria, Egypt. Dr Zeyad has led hundreds of consultancy projects in Quality, Excellence and Assessment of Excellence Models & Criteria.

Ravi FernandoRavi Fernando

Ravi is a Business Excellence and Innovation professional with more than 20 years’ experience working with Australian and Global organisations. Having started his professional career as a process improvement specialist with Accenture, Ravi has worked with leading management consultancies like Deloitte, CGI and SAI Global to deliver tailored improvement and innovation solutions to global clients. Ravi is the Managing Partner for Thrive Plus – a business solutions and technology services company specialising in Business Excellence enablement. In addition to his work with Thrive Plus, Ravi is currently an Advisory Director and the CEO of Business Excellence Australia, Australia’s representative on the Global Excellence Model Council. Ravi is also a member of the ASQ Organisational Excellence Technical Committee and the NSW Chapter Lead for the Australian Organisation for Quality. Ravi has extensive experience in guiding organisations through transformational change initiatives leveraging international Excellence Models and recognised innovation frameworks. His focus in recent years has been the development and implementation of technology solutions that enable Business Excellence with a focus on predictive analytics.

Terry PilcherTerry Pilcher

Terry Pilcher, BCS Management Services, has extensive experience in the
areas of, Quality (including ‘Quality Project Management’), Change Management, Organisational Improvement, Knowledge Management, Intellectual Capital, Corporate Universities/Academies, Benchmarking, Value Added, Lean, Customer Service, Sustainability etc. He has established a knowledge driven company with an extremely wide international network which has been involved in management projects around the world with organisations such as UNCTAD in Geneva, the Asian Productivity Association in Tokyo, SGS of Switzerland, Abu Dhabi Police, the European Commission, KPMG, SERCO, SGS, CAF etc. He has a Post Graduate Diploma in Management Studies and is a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute, where he was a Member of the Board of Studies, which oversaw the development of the Institute’s Management and Leadership offerings including its MBA. He was also a member of the Executive of the British Quality Foundation (EFQM) for several years (where he became an EFQM trained Assessor) and is currently a Director of the Global Benchmarking Network.

Prof. Dr. Holger Kohl is Vice-Director of Fraunhofer Institute for Production Systems and Design Technology IPK and Director of the Division Corporate Management at Fraunhofer IPK, Berlin as well as Professor for Sustainable Corporate Development at the Technical University of Berlin. He studied Business Engineering at the Technical University of Berlin and at the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley. In 1999 Prof. Kohl joined the Division Corporate Management at Fraunhofer IPK as a Senior Researcher. Since then he has initiated and conducted several national and international projects on Strategic Planning, Knowledge Management, Intellectual Capital, Benchmarking and Business Process Reengineering and was responsible for their realisation. Beside projects all over Europe, Prof. Kohl managed large scale projects in Brazil, Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia, UAE, Egypt, China, etc.

Patrick LimPatrick Lim
Director (Business & Service Excellence), Enterprise Singapore, Singapore

Patrick is Director of Business & Service Excellence in Enterprise Singapore (ESG), a government agency tasked to help companies build capabilities, access global opportunities and create good jobs for Singaporeans. He oversees the Business Excellence (BE) initiative, a programme that enables companies to adopt management best practices and improve performances. This includes facilitating the growth of targeted high-growth companies through BE intervention, which helps to identify key strengths & areas for improvements, and ultimately a roadmap for growth and competitiveness for these companies. Prior to his current portfolio, Patrick spent nine years driving entrepreneurship development. He was involved in enhancing the entrepreneurial culture in Singapore; formulating policies and programmes to strengthen entrepreneurship ecosystem; and working with partners to accelerate growth of promising start-ups. Patrick is a firm believer in enterprise development, which is the main driver for his tenure in Enterprise Singapore for more than 16 years. He derived satisfaction in witnessing the growth of promising companies, as he sees them as the future growth engines for Singapore.

Léon TossaintLéon Tossaint
CEO, EFQM, Belgium

Léon Tossaint, started his professional career at Philips in 1971 and has been working there in different positions until he retired in 2006. The last 10 years at Philips he was Vice President Quality Management & Business Excellence, responsible for the global implementation of Business Excellence. He has supported EFQM from the start in1989 onwards and was involved in the development of the EFQM Excellence Model and the first Award Assessor training in 1990. He has acted as lead assessor in many EFQM Award and Recognition assessments over the last 25 years. Since March 2015, Léon has supported EFQM as Change Officer and he has been appointed as the EFQM CEO in November 2015. Under his CEO ship EFQM has extended their footprint globally both with Partners and Members in the Middle East, Asia, South America and South Africa. All to deliver the brand promise: EFQM Leading Excellence.

Charles AubreyDr. Charles Aubrey

Charles Aubrey is an Executive Coach and Consultant at Aubrey Partners. He is a Master Lean Six Sigma Black Belt. He recently retired as Vice President of AndersonBrecon Pharmaceutical and was a staff of both the Juran Institute and Harrington Institute. He was formerly President and is now Chairman, Asia Pacific Quality Organization, International Advisory Panel. He is an Academician and Board Member of the International Academy for Quality. Charles was formerly a Vice President at Sears Roebuck & Co., American Express Corp., J.P. Morgan Chase and Bank America. Charles also worked as Vice President Consulting for ten years, primarily with Dr. Juran at the Juran Institute. He is a former President and Chairman of the American Society for Quality and is a Fellow of ASQ. He was a Senior Examiner for the Baldrige National Quality Program and is a retired Captain from the United States Navy. Chuck is a 2006 recipient of Harrington/Ishikawa Medal for his extensive quality contributions in Asia and was awarded the Founders Medal of International Academy for Quality. He has written two books, Quality Management in Services and Teamwork-Involving Employees in Quality and Productivity. He has published over 150 articles and papers.

Brett TruskoBrett Trusko
President and CEO, International Association of Innovation Professionals, United States

Brett Trusko began his career with Coopers and Lybrand where he earned a CPA certification. He became the CFO of a major hospital in Seattle after which he became a management consultant, becoming global Managing Director in charge of the “Quality Practice” at BearingPoint. After 25 years he left consulting for academia. He continues to consult, and is currently Assistant Professor of Biomedical Informatics at Texas A&M University where he works on Big Data Analytics and Natural Language Processing. He is the President and CEO of the International Association of Innovation Professionals, a global association of innovation professionals with over 2000 members in 84 countries, and Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Innovation Science. He is also the Secretariat to ISO 279 (Innovation Management), for the United States delegation. He has a Doctorate in Business Administration and Technology Management. He has several professional certifications including Certified Innovation Professional and Manager, Certified Project Manager and a certified Six Sigma Master Black Belt as well as practitioner in “Lean” methods. He has authored several books on quality and innovation. His 2015 book, the “Global Innovation Science Handbook”, won a PROSE Award in the category of engineering and technology.

Mohamed ZairiProfessor Mohamed Zairi
Senior Advisor at the Prime Minister’s Office, UAE

Professor Zairi is the chairman of the Jury of Abu Dhabi Government Excellence Program, Dubai Government Excellence Program and Sheikh Khalifa Government Excellence Program. He has played a significant role in growing the quality movement in the MENA Region over the last 25 years. He is the originator and co-founder of the Middle East Quality Association, the co-founder of the first e-Learning University in the region (Hamdan Bin Mohammad Smart University). Recognized as a Guru and International Expert in the field of Total Quality and Excellence Management. He was one of the pioneers of the Benchmarking concept, has published five books in this field including the first case study book on benchmarking applications in the World. He is the founder of the Benchmarking International Journal which is now in its 27th volume. He is the only Academician who has written extensively about the role of Quality in all the four Industrial Revolutions. Professor Zairi is one of the originators of the concept of Quality 4.0, has recently published the first two books on the disruptive thinking of Quality 4.0 in the World and is leading a major research on Quality Future Thinking.

Dr. Robert CampDr. Robert Camp

Robert Camp is a leading authority on benchmarking and its use to obtain best practice knowledge and superior performance. Dr. Camp’s business career includes DuPont, Mobil Oil, and 23 years with Xerox Corporation. While at Xerox, he created benchmarking programs and led large-scale benchmarking investigations. Camp has presented the Xerox benchmarking experience at major events in 33 countries throughout Europe, Asia Pacific, Africa, and the Americas. He is the author of the best-selling Benchmarking: The Search for Industry Best Practices that Lead to Superior Performance first published in 1989 and now available in thirteen languages. Together with Benchmarking: Finding and Implementing Best Practices (1995) and Global Cases in Benchmarking: Best Practices from Organizations Around the World (1998), these books share his insight and extensive experience. In 2014 Camp was honored by the American Society for Quality with the Distinguished Service Medal, the highest award for service in recognition of lifetime contribution to quality technology through best practice benchmarking.

Suresh Lulla has made a mark through his work in the field of Quality. He is a veteran professional with 50+ years of experience as a management consultant, speaker, trainer, author, and storyteller. His areas of specialization include, Problem Solving, Process Excellence, Performance Excellence, Benchmarking for Best Practices. Mr Lulla was mentored by Dr J M Juran, ‘the father of Quality’, who along with Mahatma Gandhi and Shri Ramkrishna Bajaj form the trinity of his role models. In 1987, he founded Qimpro Consultants, India’s first focused quality management consultancy based on The Juran Trilogy. Since inception, Qimpro has saved Indian corporates over US$ 3 billion in terms of cost of poor quality, using the Juran methodologies. In 2007, Mr Lulla founded BestPrax Club Pvt. Ltd. as the exclusive Indian member of the Global Benchmarking Network. Dawn Ringrose has worked with a wide range of organizations to improve organizational performance since 1984. Some of these organizations have earned national excellence awards. Recognized by her peers with the Fellow Certified Management Consultant designation and the Quality & Excellence Builder Award, Dawn is currently the representative for Canada on the Global Benchmarking Network and the Organizational Excellence Technical Committee QMD ASQ. Keenly interested in making the excellence journey more simple, straightforward, cost effective and time efficient, Dawn authored a turnkey toolkit intended to support work with all excellence models. Tools in the toolkit include: publication (Organizational Excellence Framework © 2010), scenario games, holistic and modular workshops, automated assessment and reporting tool and train-the-trainer program. Dale F. Weeks is President and CEO of Global Leadership and Benchmarking Associates, a performance excellence and global benchmarking consulting service. Dale was Deputy Executive Director/Senior Benchmarking Officer for the FL Department of Revenue (2000-2011), one of the most innovative performance excellence government agencies globally. For 20+ years, Dale also led major private sector change initiatives in Marketing, Information Systems, and Consulting capacities for Control Data Corporation, General Mills, and Xerox, where he was instrumental in producing $50+ million in Sales Revenue.
